Simultaneous wreath-laying ceremony in UK and Germany honours fallen airmen of both Air Forces

On 4 May, the German Air Attaché, Colonel (GS) Hermann Hanke and Air Commodore Richard Maddison OBE MA RAF honoured the airmen of the British and German Air Forces who gave their lives in service of their country with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Royal Air Force Memorial in Central London.
The traditional ceremony takes place on an annual basis in May and is simultaneously conducted in Germany at the Luftwaffe Memorial in Fürstenfeldbruck with participation of the British Air Attaché in Berlin.
