On 4 May, Ambassador Peter Ammon presented the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany to Gaby Flatow for her outstanding contributions to Holocaust Remembrance, German-Jewish relations and music.

64th Synod of the German-Speaking Lutheran Churches in Britain

On 31 March 2017, the Embassy’s Deputy Head of Mission, Tania von Uslar-Gleichen, invited to an opening reception at 34 Belgrave Square in honour of the 64th Synod of the German-speaking Lutheran Reformed and United Congregations in Britain. The annual assembly took place in London from 31 March to 2 April.

Ambassador Ammon opens Colourscapes exhibition

On 3 April Ambassador Peter Ammon and his wife Marliese officially opened the new exhibition Colourscapes at 34 Belgrave Square. The exhibition showcases works by German artist Peter Zimmermann.

National Youth Jazz Orchestra and Bundesjazzorchester perform at 22 Belgrave Square

On 28 March, Ambassador Ammon and his wife Marliese Heimann-Ammon hosted a bi-national concert by members of the British National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) and the German Bundesjazzorchester (BuJazzO) at the Ambassador’s Residence. The event was supported by Deutsche Bank.
