Ambassador Ammon opens Colourscapes exhibition

Colourscapes Exhibition

On 3 April Ambassador Peter Ammon and his wife Marliese officially opened the new exhibition Colourscapes at 34 Belgrave Square. The exhibition showcases works by German artist Peter Zimmermann.

The Cologne-based artist is known for his innovative approach to painting and sculpture as well as his use of new methods and technologies. His work has been exhibited at major international museums and galleries worldwide.

In his speech, Ambassador Ammon said, "As the name suggests, 'Colourscapes' showcases first and foremost Zimmermann’s mastery of shapes and colours." Ambassador Ammon added that "Zimmermann’s 'Technobilder' transport the walls of 34 Belgrave Square straight into the digital age."

The programme for the evening included a guided tour by the artist himself. In the Q&A session conducted by art and gallery consultant Renée Pfister, guests were offered an intimate insight into the artist’s technique of creating his works of art and his interaction with colour.
